The character works in the financial sector paranoid with the unknown future of how Brexit will impact on his life and he suffers further anxiety to the point where it is overtaking his clarity of thought, due to too much cocaine and alcohol abuse. Desperate to relieve his stress of work and all consuming tiredness of the long commute home to the suburbs, he goes out every night after finishing work late, looking for something good to happen to change the monotony of the daily grind and loveless home life. In this end of a hard knackering year, he parties hard, he misses the last train out of the city – he staggers, falls, and becomes part of the cardboard city community .He has no idea in his oblivion that his money and shoes are taken ,he is out cold !
